ON THE UP!

With towns and villages across the UK affected by high street decline, there are certain areas that have remained buoyant and bustling, as is the case with West Kirby in Wirral.

Smith and Sons continues to see strong economic growth in this seaside town with demand for commercial premises at an all-time high.

The Wirral-based property consultants have two prime properties available including a large former restaurant, West 34, situated on the town’s main thoroughfare, corner of grange road and the crescent.

The property extends to 134.43 sq.m (1,447 sq.ft) and currently provides 50 covers with additional external seating areas. Whilst there is healthy competition in the area for food and drink outlets, Smith and Sons has already begun to seen strong interest and demand for this prime property.

Tom Carew, Surveyor at Smith and Sons commented: “West Kirby sits within an affluent area of Wirral where there is high demand for food and drink outlets.

Further into the town, the former Lloyds Bank building is also available, located on the corner of Banks Road and Salisbury Avenue and occupying a prominent corner position.

The property comprises a former banking hall with ancillary offices/interview rooms, vaults and staff facilities arranged on the ground floor, with a suite of separately accessed office arranged over the first and second floors and a three bedroomed maisonette.

Tom continued: “This is an exciting let. Not only does the property sit in a fantastic position but the nature of the building, the size and scale, would make a fantastic conversion for a range of uses. We have already taken a number of enquiries are keen to support potential tenants looking to make individual use of this wonderful building.”
