SMITH AND SONS REPORTS STRONG PRICES AT SEPTEMBER PROPERTY AUCTION

Wirral property consultants Smith and Sons has reported a number of strong results from its latest property auction, with competitive bidding helping several lots achieve impressive sale prices.

The September auction featured a varied catalogue of residential, commercial, investment and development opportunities from across Wirral, Liverpool, Ellesmere Port and North Wales.

While buyers remained selective, the properties which attracted bidding demonstrated continued demand for well-priced opportunities, with a number achieving particularly encouraging results.

Amongst the highlights where a commercial unit at Rossmore Business Village in Ellesmere Port, guided at £80,000-£90,000, which sold for £159,000, whilst a large semi-detached property in Birkenhead sold for £100,250, against a guide of £80,000 - £90,0000.

Annette Shelley from Smith and Sons, said: “Buyers are clearly taking a considered approach to the market, but there remains good demand for properties which are realistically priced and offer genuine potential.

“We saw competitive bidding on a number of lots and some very positive individual results. That demonstrates that buyers are prepared to act decisively when the right opportunity comes to market.

“Auction continues to provide an effective route to market, bringing motivated buyers and sellers together and establishing a clear market value through competitive bidding.”

Smith and Sons is continuing discussions in relation to a number of the remaining properties following the auction.

The firm’s next property auction will take place on the 2nd December,with entries now being invited.
