HITTING THE RIGHT NOTE WITH LANDMARK CELEBRATIONS
Smith and Sons has celebrated its very special 175th birthday with a classical evening out at the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Hall.
A guest list of 60 friends and associates of the historic firm joined the team at the Smith and Sons sponsored event and were treated to a magical evening of music led by renowned conductor Vasily Petrenko.
The evening began with a canape reception followed by seating in the new grand circle, which forms a major part of the huge refurbishment programme of the Hall.
Chris Johnson, Managing Partner at Smith and Sons said: “We’ve enjoyed a full year of celebrations to mark our 175th but this is undoubtedly the highlight. The Philharmonic is a landmark institution for our city who are ironically share the same birthday year with us. What better way to celebrate!”
Chris added: “The evening was a huge success and guests were delighted not only with the performance but to be one of the first to be seated in the transformed musical hall. It was certainly a night to remember!”
Smith and Sons were joined by guests from businesses and organisations based across Wirral and Merseyside.
