September Auction Sale
Smith and Sons autumn property auction saw 45 lots offered at the Village Hotel in Bromborough. This resulted in sales of excess of £2.500.000 with lively and enthusiastic bidding for several lots.
Church halls in Wallasey and Birkenhead attracted a good deal of interest offering redevelopment potential and residential investments throughout Liverpool and the Wirral sold well with yields achieved in the region of 12%.
A property in three flats on the outskirts of Liverpool City Centre sold for £170,000 against a guide of £110,000 reflecting the high demand for investment opportunities in this part of the city.
A former dental surgery in Warren Drive, New Brighton, a three-storey double fronted detached house with huge development potential sold for £417,000 and smaller residential opportunities throughout the Wirral area attracted good prices.
Chris Johnson auctioneer commented “despite the Brexit uncertainty, there was a good deal of interest in the auction room with some higher than anticipated prices achieved through competitive bidding.”
